Hello ladies. I have suffered form regular vaginal thrush for years and after finally being referred to a sexuality health specialist it has finally stopped. I am concerned that chemo may cause a recurrence. Had anyone experienced this?? Thanks Helen x

Hi Helen
I did get thrush when taking docetaxol but not with the first four rounds of FEC. My GP put me on repeat prescription of canestan cream and fluconazole 50mg, 1 tab a day for 7 days. I took it the minute it showed its ugle head and it went quite quickly. the thrid dose of docetaxol I didnt get it, and havent had it since. Hope that helps!

Hi Helen
I had thrush after 1st dose of FEC-T but as soon as canesten was applied I was ok! As Morgan has suggested get your GP to give you a prescription to keep on standby as you may get more with the chemo x regards Colista x
