Veozah?

Does anyone know anything about Veozah (Fezolinetant) or when it might be available in the UK?

Hi

See the guardian article today- Just approved in uk. Article is literally today.

I just read that it will be available privately from Jan in the UK. The Guardian article says it is about £430 a month in the US so, I am guessing, not affordable for most!
It also says it reduced (not eliminated) hot flushes by about 60% compared with 45% in the placebo group. Very curious. Maybe we can all have the placebo!!!

Hi LCPhi80,

Thank you for your post. Veozah (Fezolinetant) is an oral tablet that is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause, such as hot flushes and night sweats.

Fezolinetant was approved for use in the United States of America by the Federal Drugs Authority (FDA) in May this year.

It’s not currently available in the UK. However, the Department for Health & Social Care has asked National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) to conduct an appraisal of Fezolinetant . The appraisal is anticipated to begin in late July 2024.
