Bit of a random one. Post chemo and surgery. Still having Phesgo injections and yet to have radiotherapy but ive developed extreme itching on both forearms. Im scratching so bad i make it bleed and it feels like needles under my skin. Using savlon to stop it but I’ve developed what looks like little blood blisters on the skin which keep bleeding when i scratch. Read about folliculitis and not sure if this could be the cause. Anyone else experienced similar?
Hi @jols68 I’ve not had chemo yet or phesgo but I have had experience of very itchy reactions to things, including sunlight! I would get in touch with the nurses quickly to identify what sort of rash it is as I know only too well how itching leads to scratching which leads to more damage and more itching… Do hope you get to the bottom of it soon!
Dear Jols,
Sorry to read your post, I’ve not had chemo, or any of the medication your have been prescribed, but have had infections from surgery
I agree with Anne please get in touch with team as soon as possible, or call 111 just to be on the safe side as you don’t want any infection to set in.
Please post again, letting us know how you’re getting on.
Hugs Tili
Google just led me to this. I also have VERY itchy forearms. I’m post chemo and surgery, doing Kadcyla every three weeks. It’s SO itchy! My scalp is itchy where hair is regrowing, too
