Was wondering how long others have had to wait for CT scans and MRI scans to be carried out. I was told that I needed both of these done and that they would be requested for urgently, however appointment had been made for 5 weeks time, and seems ages away.

5 weeks does seem a long time ,ive normaly had all my scans Ct/bone ect done within 2 weeks. Think id be inclined to ring up and queiry whether it is normal to have a 5 week wait for an urgent request.

Hi suzi, I do agree 5 weeks is far too long to wait i never had to wait that long! I would definitely ring them and maybe let you know if they get a cancelation. The waiting will just make you anxious.
