waiting in anticipation for side effects

hi i’m nicola, 37, recently diagnosed with stage 3 in left breast. had first chemo friday and so far so good i guess?! finished the anti sickness and luckily haven’t had to take the ‘Dom Perignon’ (i wish!) tablets. but literally waiting for shitty s.e’s to start…

Hi Biggley, there is a support group of ladies called the July Junkies I’m sure you would be made very welcome there. Best wishes Pat x

Hi Nicola. I know what you mean about ‘waiting’ for the s/e’s I was exactly the same. I’ve found they’ve not been too bad, more annoying than anything but definitely doable. The tiredness is accumulative and you may find each cycle is slightly different so take each day as it comes, listen to your body and try and be ‘normal’, whatever normal is?!
Good luck
Emma x

hi Trish Melrose and Bigley you are giving me hope not yet started chemo yet 6 x FEC scared silly love Gill

thanks pat. yeah i have heard that happens emma as each cycle goes by…not too bad when some one entertains my two year old, i can nap with my 4 mth old! definately correct in listening to your body…people used to say that when pregnant but boy do i listen hard now! hey gill…sounds like we are going on the same journey hun…the anxiety was bad but have to say so far so good. get your support troops in and around you hun.xx

Thanks Biggley sounds like i may have it a bit easier than you my kids are 24 and 27 so they will rally round hopefully. Lets get this done love Gill x
