Hi Ladies, thought itta be nice to put faces to our names, that and give us something to look forward to, so I wondered if any ladies fancied a weekend away Friday lunchtime to after breakfast Sunday, we all live everywhere so I thought if your interested let me no on this thread and we can sort out somewhere in the middle, or try to. I’m thinking early November give us all a chance to get our treatments over, but if anyone wants to suggest a different date thats fine. Im thinking I will try to get it booked end of April, we all have too much on our minds and too much uncertainty at the moment, we could be the old Boobs club, unless anyones got a better idea. Just a suggestion
I would be interested although as I work in a school I’d be restricted to just a Saturday and Sunday - would be coming by train too. However, I’d also be up for meeting just for the day say if you planned a spa weekend.
Great idea Blossom xxx
What a lovely suggestion. I was diagnosed this week with grade 2 breast cancer. I am numb with fear but know with the support from my family and friends I’m going to get through. X
Hi I’m only new here but have already found reading your posts incredibly helpful. Please could I join the weekend. I’m in Peterborough and also work in a school so would be limited to a Saturday and Sunday depending on where it is but I drive and would be happy to pick up along the way xx
Hi Bloss are you at Peterborough hospital too? Would be fab to meet up for a coffee! Are you on Facebook or can you private message through here?
Love bottyboo x
I think it would help to narrow down what we want from the weekend, is city centre for range of places to eat, drink and shop, or more retreat style country hotel/spa.
Oxford is a beautiful city to explore and the train station is close to the town centre. Lots of options for eating, drinking and shopping or walking along the river, etc. Parking and hotels are expensive, though and it’s always rammed with tourists.
Birmingham is centrally located with all the usual city stuff available, or there is the option of trains into Birmingham International (near the airport and NEC) with easy access to rural areas and spa hotels.
