Weird back pain

Only when I lie down - in upper centre. Been there about 6 weeks. I’ve been to an osteopath because it was affecting my sleep and had a couple of sessions which had a slight, temporary effect (pain is back). He thought pain originating in my ribs and combination of stress and posture causing it. It’s not dreadful pain but it worries me a bit. Had surgery and rx for ER + bc,completed treatment dec 2019.  Am on tamoxifen and know it can cause some muscular and joint issues, so it may be that.
I really don’t want to go down GP route as it opens a can of worms (of anxiety and waiting for tests). Am I being over concerned? I’m 50, pretty fit and active.

Does anyone have any experience of back pain post bc ?

Hi

Back pain is something I’ve experienced before and after treatment. Normally lower back, but sometimes higher where I think you mean. Sort of where your bra strap goes? I find if you lie on your back, with knees raised, slower lower your knees from side to side to the floor, and it stretches that area.
Any new pain is always worth checking out just to be on the safe side( I know that’s what you don’t want to hear, but the alternative is that you’re worry anyway). Maybe ask your gp if he can get in touch with your oncologist  ( or can you?) and perhaps they can investigate first, rather than see the gp.

Best wishes
