Hello, I’m new here. Almost 4 weeks ago I noticed my nipple was inverted, and a little bit of pain (more like itching) on my breast. I went to the doctors, who quickly referred me to the hospital. I had an ultrasound, mammogram and biopsy on the same day. A week later told it was breast cancer; ok I could do this! But then I went for an MRI (what a horrible, noisy machine) and a CT scan. The next appointment just a month from noticing my nipple, I was told it has spread to my liver and spine. Now it’s secondary, now it’s… scary. So I said goodbye to the first doctor and nurse, and have seen sent to a different hospital to meet a new team and get a bone scan on Wednesday. It seems surgery is off the table, and I’m back to waiting for results. When I read about secondary, most people have beaten breast cancer first. Has anyone found out like I have, that it’s there and spread, and there to stay? I am the first person in my family to get this, and right now I feel like denial/flippancy is a good way to go. So I’m doing that. I’m 37.
Yellow roses 84 Sorry you find yourself on here Do look at the younger women with breast cancer part of bcn too Also do look up metupuk And reach out to them if you want too, they are fountain of knowledge and support too You do everything your own way too, there are no right or wrongs after any bc diagnosis just do what you want, how you want and when you want As a dear friend said recently live every precious second of life
