Went to GP but still worried

Hi,

I wrote on here a while back about a red spot on my right breast that I have been worried about. I went to the GP about it and she gave me a steroid cream and said to go back in 2 weeks if it does not work - it’s been almost 2 weeks and it hasn’t caused any change. I’ve booked to go back but I’m so worried.

I’m 19 and the spot hasn’t got worse since it appeared about 2 months ago. It is about the size of a pencil eraser, and it has a tiny white dot in the middle. It is completely flat with no lump underneath and doesn’t itch. Does this sound like how breast cancer might appear? I have inverted nipples, especially on my right, but my mum says these have been here since I was in my early teens.

Thank you in advance x

Hello Smiley99,
How are you doing? It would be inapt for me to say what you have described is an indication of breast cancer or otherwise. However I just noticed there was no response to your query which can itself leave people a bit despondent.
You have so done the right thing getting it checked out, and have booked a return visit to GP. Just remember, most changes are not cancerous and especially at your age. I hope you let us know how you get on.
Remember you can always ring tge BCC helpline here and talk to one of the nurses.
Take care :relaxed:99, best wishes ? x
