What a week

Hello to you all.

I have just registered for the forum because I know I’m going to need it in the months ahead.

I found out on Monday that I have breast cancer. I had biopsies of the lump and a couple of suspect lymph nodes. Now it is a case of waiting for the results. They have told me I will be starting on chemo.

My heart goes out to everyone here on the forum and especially to those who have found out in the past few days that they have cancer. This first phase of dealing with the impact of the news and processing all the thoughts it throws up is no joke. I know everyone here is committed to helping each other and I find that very reassuring.

Hi Dunnock

i know exactly how you feel. I found a lump last Tuesday and told it looks like cancer from all the scans. Had the biopsy done and now waiting results to see what type and grade but also treatment plan. It’s so agonising waiting so I know how you feel.

Hope all goes well with the chemo and please keep us posted x

Hi Dunnock

I too have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and affected lymph nodes.  It was a total shock as I am sure it was for you.  Had my first scan today and have two more to go later in the week. Hope you get your results soon as its the waiting that caused the anxiety in my case.  At least they have given you some indication of your treatment plan. We can do this X

Steph & Vivvy,

Thinking of you both today getting your results. I hope it’s what you want and remember we are all here to support you through whatever!

Sending positive wishes
