hi i had a excisional biopsy on the 6th of march then a snb on the 20th of march all seemed to be fine until a couple of days ago when i noticed that both scars were extremely sore snb one looks angry while i seem to have a slight gap in the one where the excisional biopsy was done with some slight pussing and a black coloured stuff in the gap i may sound stupid but is this normal or should i just get it checked thanks
Hi Babes
I would say get it checked asap - if it is a bit of infection, the sooner it is treated the better.
Dx
I’d say get this seen asap especially as you have a gap there. I would not leave this until after Easter because if it is getting infected you’ll need antibiotics. I’d contact your emergency/Saturday GP.
take care Elinda x
thanks wasnt sure if it was just how it was and i was worrying for no reason
Hi Babes,
I’d phone your OOH tel number tonight, it sounds like you need antibiotics and the sooner the better. They should visit you or if you feel up to it it might be quicker to go to OOH walk in centre.
xx
is there any other signs cos ive not felt well and been sick as well
Babes - even more reason to call - or even better go to hospital. You won’t be wasting anyone’s time. This is important. Sorry if I sound harsh, but it’s time to stop dithering and get yourself checked out.
Good luck and big hugs
Dx
Signs of infection could include inflammation, pain, soreness, redness, pus, and then high temperature, generally feeling unwell etc
I think everything you’ve said is indicative of an infection but the only way you’ll know is having this checked.
I hope you have seen or are going to see someone very soon.
let us know how you get on and take care, elinda x

Hi Babes
Sorry to hear you’ve got an infection but very pleased to hear you saw the Doc and got some anti biotics. Hopefully in 2 or 3 days you’ll really start to feel better.
