what helped to find a new normal after the treatment?

Hi all

so i finished my treatment( surgery, chemo and radio).and i am really struggling emotionally and can not imagine that my life will be in any way normal after this. I am trying to meditate, going for walks and do other fun activities. But i am struggling to see any light at the end of the tunel .

What has helped you to find a new normal please?

thank you for taking your time reading my post :slightly_smiling_face:

svedija have you looked at the moving forward course that bcn run, might be worth having a look to see if it could be something that would help you everyone is different and it can feel like you are putting yourself back together like a jigsaw puzzle, but the pieces do fit back together it will just take time and this will be at your own time and pace I don’t know if Macmillan are still doing 4 free sessions with spirit and soul equine therapy in Derbyshire, run by a wonderful lady who is a tnbc survivor herself so she understands but those sessions and I had a few more after also were very helpful when I was putting my jigsaw puzzle of me back together just wanted to share in case anything will help you a little :two_hearts: :two_hearts: :sparkles: :sparkles: Shi xx

Hello @svedija

Sorry you are feeling so down at the moment

I would agree with Shi’s suggestion of looking at a moving forward course: I believe that as well as BCN, Maggie’s also run sessions which can help.
Prior to my diagnosis I found it very hard to ask for help, but it has made me so much better at realising trying to do it all in your own is nigh on impossible, and talking to other ladies who’ve had breast cancer has helped me massively

When did you finish your treatment? I finished my radiotherapy 11 months ago and had my first post treatment/annual mammogram on Thursday. I had the loveliest chat with a nurse practitioner which enabled me to check in both physically and emotionally. It reminded me of how important time is to gradually rebuilding yourself after everything that you’ve gone through during your treatment.
I hope you can start to feel a bit better soon
