As I understand it, a clear margin is an area of tissue surrounding the tumour, which has no cancer cells. This ensures that ALL the cancer has been removed.
What Poems said and they look for more than 2mm margins.
a clear margin is positive, it means there are no cancer cells in the surrounding tissue of the tumour when it was removed, which basically means they got it all! Congratulations!
