I have recently developed a nervy type of pain in my neck its not there all the time but hurts every now and then, just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I had my mx and lymph clearance surgery back in Sept and not sure whether or not this is a SE of the surgery, can it affect your muscles in your neck?? Its feels a bit like a trapped nerve which of course it could be.
Of course every twinge, lump, bump and pain I go into a complete meltdown worried sick its BC on the move. I already have mets on both lungs, although they are stable at the moment. (please read my profile for my dx etc)
Anybody got any advice or experience of neck mets?

Sorry to hear about your neck pain! I understand why every pain/twinge sends you into panic mode!
I just wanted to say that I do have mets in the bones my neck, the bone scan showed a white dot right at the top of my spine. I have never had any twinges or pain. But that is the bones, not the neck itself.
It is likely to be some sort of damage caused by all your treatments, our bodies really take a hammering! but if you already have secondaries it is probably best to get it checked out, just to give you peace of mind.
It sounds as though it could be a frozen shoulder. I had rads after my surgery and, the first time I was on the table, the awkward position made my neck quite painful. A few days later I developed an excrutiating pain in my neck. Doctor explained that the muscles go into spasm expecting pain and this makes the pain worse. Regular doses of ibuprofen and a little gentle physio sorted it out. It would be worth discussing with your GP to see if it’s something easily sorted.
Hi Sarahlouise, I’ve had pain in my neck since finishing rads in May this year. It’s the oddest sensation, it’s often a burning pain in one side and feels like its in my glands and sometimes it’s my neck/spine and I have a terrible crunching when I move my neck. On occasions it’s so bad I can’t turn over in bed. I’ve had CT and bone scan but nothing showed up other than osteo arthritic changes and I am now waiting for a MRI of my neck. I hate being so paranoid but it just doesn’t feel right to have so much pain I this area x
Hi,
Just a quick message to say i get that weird nervy pain in my neck all the time. Everytime I feel it I check for a lump straight away but haven’t found one! I wonder what it is
