Was starting to worry as you weren’t feeling very well yesterday, 1 more down honey just 4 to go. I can’t imagine you will ever get used to the sickness but it’ll be worth it in the long run.
Unfortunately my stitches have split going in tomorrow to see what next, am going to push for a skin graft as it’s been 6 weeks now and I am as sick as a custard. I haven’t had a proper bath for about 4 weeks just have to sit in it and sponge myself ( horrible ), and have to wash my hair stood up as I can’t bend ( don’t ask how I do it !! ) My onc is going on hol in about 10 days and if she doesn’t give the go ahead by then it will about 4 more weeks. I think I will put my head in the oven if I’m not sorted by then lol.
It was very quiet on here last night everyone must be recovering, it’s good to hear you are feeling ok.
ROFL Ann what are you like and you know I’d just have to come over there and rescue you.
I was feeling OK actually yesterday they just gave me the AB’s on day 15 as my neutrophil count was low, down to 0.35 but was 6.2 yesterday which is better than before i started this.
Mind you I have 3 puncture wounds where they took blood and gave me the chemo, I am going to use heat pads next time to try to bring my veins up so it isn’t as difficult next time.
Keep your chin up honey.
Love and huge hugs
Lisa

I got home this morning after a fabulous week in Turkey. i have never been there before but would thoroughly recommend it. Weather was very hot but manageable, mostly sat in the shade as didn’t want to risk any probs with my arm but it didn’t matter, its easier to read your book in the shade anyway.
bit if a shaky start, first night there I fell over in our room [before I had a drink so couldn’t blame that]. Apparantly I did a very elegant twist and drop, just missed my head on the dressing table and landed on my left side [the twist was to stop myself landing on my right arm, strange how we automatically protect ourselves], whopping great bruise on my backside [very attractive] and stiff shoulder but otherwise unharmed. OH managed to ask if I was Ok before pointing out that I really am too old for super woman impressions.
Have read a few posts but not everything so will just say I hope you are all getting on Ok and will catch up slowly. Sorry to hear the back is still giving you problems Ann. Lisa, glad the chemo is going OK, 2 down already - well done.
I am slowly working my way through a mountain of washing, hopefully the weather will be kind tomorrow so that i can get it all dry.
Super Woman will be fine, I did laugh once I got over that horrid shock thing, it could only happen to me.
Didn’t buy alot really despite the endless shops full of “designer” stuff. My sister wanted an Armani belt but the one hanging up wasn’t long enough so she asked if there was a longer one. The guy took the buckle off and swapped it with one on a longer belt, hilarious.
I bought some Prada shoes, Emma bought a Chloe handbag, OH bought a bucket load of Lacoste t-shirts and my other sister bought a D & G handbag. Some guy tried to get me to buy a watch but gave up when I showed him I wear a genuine Tissot LOL!!
i remember when i was in italy …and the gennga men selling prada bags …he wonted 30 bucks for one but got him down to 15 bucks lol…
but the belt thing was funny …thats them all over enything for a quick buck lol…
well hun nice to see you back …did you get any sun at all …or was you a bat …lol…
wish i could go on hol’s but i did go skiing in march …that was befor i found out i had bc…but that was a good holiday…
well will have to wait tll next year now
Am starting to worry about the canula I don’t do veins, might ask if I can have the one they put in to your chest that stays there. On the other hand they might have discovered a cure for cancer by the time I get my chemo so I might not need it lol.
Hope your wig looks good. I have ordered a couple of cheap ones off the internet am just hoping I don’t look like Ronald Rat having a bad hair day with them on lol.
Are you all Ok, not many posts on in last couple of days so wondering if you are all abit under the weather. I hope its going Ok for you all, its a really trying time for everyone I know.
My chemo started a year ago next week and today I had a few low lights put through my hair to give it a bit of a lift. Its a long journey that at times I thought would never end but it did and you will all get there.
Ann - I really hope you get somewhere soon with the back problem, maybe time to start throwing some teddies out for the pram. I know thats easy for me to say but you must be getting so frustrated with it all.
I am beginning to see the light at the end of the washing line, holidays are great but oh the laundry.
I was a bit worried yesterday cos I had no washing or ironing but hey presto, this morning there’s a load to do in the basket, thank goodness for that LOL!!!
