What's next?

i’m trying to get my head round this, and everytime i do, i get more bad news. My cancer is not a grade 2, but a 3. It is not wholly contained within the flap but is also in the chest wall muscle. Lymph nodes are not reactive, but metastatic. Knocked again for six and feeling totally sorry for myself. Chemo is next. New for me as i had nothing other than surgery last time.

Has anyone here had a chest wall recurrence? What happens next?

Thanks G X

Hi Minny - wanted to say how sorry i am - it sounds like you’re having a really bad time. I’ve no idea what happens next but hopefully by bumping this up some other ladies will have an answer for you. I’m thinking of you

Hi Minny

So sorry to hear your news, I’m in a similar position. I’ve had a regional recurrence close to my mx site in my armpit and close to my collarbone, I don’t think the new tumours are operable so I’m starting on Chemo on Wed (2nd time for me) I’m hoping these should shrink the nasties if all goes according to plan. It’s all happened very quickly for me just over 3 weeks ago when I found the new lumps so I’m sure your treatment plan will start very soon.

Best of luck with everything.

Oh Minny, I didn’t see this post. I’m so sorry to hear this news. A big internet hug for you.

I had six months of chemo (FEC) in 2001 and although it wasn’t particularly enjoyable, it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

Take care and all the very best,

Anne Marie
