So I had the all clear from my CT scan except my oncologist say a vien that didn’t seem right I was told I would have an ultrasound on Wednesday I end up having a PET CT scan
As before I am to meet with a vascular surgeon he wanted me to have this scan
I was told I was all clear but when I went for my scanner nurse said if I hadn’t had breast cancer they wouldn’t be doing this scan
I feel so sad as I thought all was OK then I’m told I had ti have another scan but no one told me exactly why breast nurses say nothing to do with cancer and yet PET CT scan nurse said I would find out what was wrong and how to treat it
I left thinking treat what why involve a vasculor team
Oh Gosh, I feel for you. The thing to remember is it’s your body and your life not theirs. They are doctors not Gods, so if you don’t understand or haven’t been given a full explanation take a minute to think then take a big breath and ask.
This is guesswork on my part but it maybe that in doing the scan for the breast cancer check they have come across something entirely unrelated that needs attention. Perhaps one of your veins or arteries has been shown to have a little narrowing. It is very poor that nobody has explained anything to you, they really don’t understand how high our anxiety levels are.
