Where do I go???

Hi there

I was diagnosed with breast eczema at 43 and only correct diagnosed with breast cancer at 45. I am now 47. I feel therefore that I don’t fit into the younger women’s forum but neither do I fit into the usual 50+ bracket. I do feel a little lost. Can anyone help? Thanks and regards. xxx

Hi there Bobbity_Boo

Welcome to the BCC forums, I hope you will find them to be very supportive and infomrative.  There is no need to worry about your age or where you post, the new members section is a very good place to start.  You might also find it useful to post in the living with and beyond section as I am sure there will be lots of users there who will be a long shortly to offer you their support.

In the meantime if you would like to talk anything through do give the BCC helpline a call on 0808 800 6000.  Here you can share any concerns you have with a member of staff who will offer you a listening ear as well as emotional support and practical infomration.  Lines are open today 10 to 2pm and weekdays 9 to 5pm.

Best wishes Sam, BCC Facilitator

Hi bobbity
I don’t think it matters re age, but the most important thing is that you can get support from all ladies here. I am 53 and don’t class myself as any different than any of the other ladies. It is a dreadful diagnosis and the next few months are filled with waiting and hoping, we’re all in it together and great at support. The recently diagnosed section should have a thread for you x
all the best of luck x

Hi I’m 47 too and have had a lumpectomy, sentinel node biopsy and have just started radiotherapy. I’m taking tamoxifen too. If you have any questions just look under the various headings. There is a wealth of information on this forum. I don’t think age matters. I have chatted to several ladies on here of varying ages and have found out lots of information. Good luck xx
