Hi,
I’m doing a clean out of lots of things. Baby stuff is going (that’s a hard one but time to move on) but I keep finding various caps, scarves, hats etc shoved in various cupboards and drawers and there is not a cat in hells chance of me ever wearing them again, whatever the circumstances. I recall there’s a charity support group a lady on here has set up that I can send them to, rather than just inundating my local charity shop with half of Accessorize’s 2010 stock. However, as usual, I have totally failed to successfully navigate the search facility on the forum so wondered if anyone can remember where we can send them or, indeed, if there’s somewhere new that may want them?
I remember this thread, cos I sent her a book. I’ve been back into my message box, and found her name - she was called “smallstar”, and here’s the link to her post:-
Found it - will try pasting it in here, then you have the details without searching:-
HERE IT IS:-

Hi Ladies,
I am writing to make an appeal to all of you that may have any of the above sitting in a cupboard not being used.
I run a cancer support centre in my local town and you will be amazed at the people that are coming in for headwear. We posted here about 6 months ago and thank you to all of you that sent in wigs/books and headwear even mastectomy swimwear and prosthesis that can be put use to ladies that are not financially able to buy new.
If you do have anything that you can send in please could you send to us at The Sharon Fox Cancer Centre, 5 Mitchells Court, Lower Gungate Tamworth STaffs B79 7AF.
Brilliant, thanks so much for that. I just tried on one of my caps and wanted to vomit! How many did I buy though… They are everywhere! Thanks Shelly x
Lol! I can’t relate to the caps as I never had chemo, but I must still have about four softies left over from immediately post-op. I bought one myself, but it turned out not to be the right shape for me. They gave me two on discharge from the ward (lovely support worker to thank for that!), then a friend had bought me one too. So, every time I go to the back of my drawers, I always seem to find at least one of them!
