I am very itchy too, but I usually get a bit like that when the heating goes on.
I am managing to control the tears by keeping busy with work and increasing the exercise, so I’m feeling a little better, but it has been quite disconcerting. I feel more hormonal and emotional now than I have through whole year of treatment!
What brand were you on before?
I was on Wockhardt for over a year and found I was handling the side effects ok. This month I got ‘Generics’ brand and I too am itchy and have really stiff joints. Saw my Onc on Wednesday and he laughed when I asked whether different brands use different bulking agents which give variable se’s - he said se’s meant they were working - he also said every 10 years drug companies have to “reapply” for the licence to produce their brand and Generics are the cheapest at the moment and we will be seeing a lot more of them. 'Spose all that means is I should shut up and get on with it!!!
i have been on aps then last month chemist gave me generics which i finish sunday i donot want this brand again terrible itching i have 4 big heat lumps on stomach plus mouth ulcers all month .i have looked at my new persription today and i have wockhardt i have not had this brand before so waiting to see what happens next as soon as i find a brand that suits me i will ask chemist to stock them in for me if they will missmessyx

Interesting abou the mouth ulcers as the back of my mouth is a bit ‘fuzzy’ feels odd almost as if I have burnt it.
Will try and go back to Wockhart this week, can I get more pills if I still have 1.5 months to go with the Generics? How does the repeat prescription system work?
gretchen my perscription is for one month at a time .but the chemist might give you some advice mine is very helpful i hope you get some relief .i am starting wockhart tomorrow good luck sorry i am not much help
Hi sorry to jump in… just to comment on the repeat presciption question… i asked my doctor about it, he gave me repeat prescription for 6mths, took to local chemist and just have to go in there each month…give my name and they give me my tamoxifen, so no monthly trips to doctor for it!!!

my doc has prescribed 3 months worth of Tamoxifen for me which I got all at once…weir how everyone does different. Just like everyones treatments differ a bit too!!!

i got a three month supply too on my first visit. And suze, why werent you asleep at that time!
