A few weeks ago I had a wrap up discussion with the team at one hospital where I had the diagnoses and tests etc. It was kind of the breast specialist/surgeon to take the time to explain the next steps and the reasons for hormonal therapy vs the first proposed chemo/surgery route etc and that they would be taking a back seat. Oncology (another hospital, different trust) confirmed they have the wheel. I received a final report from first hospital and it seemed all wrapped up, only now I have an appointment letter for next Friday with the breast specialists again. I tried calling the BCN to find out what this is about and if we can do it by phone as my back gave out last week, but I cant get a hold of anyone yet.
Any ideas what this could be about? They’ve never been wrong in their scheduling so I dont think its an accident. Do they do monthly checkins or something?
