Wish I could be more positive..

Diagnosed with DCIS in July, have had 7/8 chemo cycles, final one New Year week, then surgery follows, and rads? Unfortunately a follow up CT scan in October showed I have a bone met, probably there at the outset. The breast tumour has responded well to the chemo and in other circumstances it would be great news, but I’m finding it hard to be positive because of the spread.

Meeting with the surgeon to discuss what will be done, and need the outcome to reduce my anxiety levels for the future.

Thanks for listening. Xx

Did you have a nuclear bone scan plus a CT scan after diagnosis to get a staging?

Did you have a nuclear bone scan plus a CT scan after diagnosis to get a staging?

I suppose with Drs it’s each to their own. I had a barrage of tests done after diagnosis starting with, bone scan, blood tests, and Ct scan. It was stage 1. Had surgery and the lump was grade 3. No spread to surrounding tissue or lymphs which was the final card. Now on chemo then radiotherapy then hormone treatment. There is always hope and number one is being positive. My batteries about to run out. I will share with you what a very good friend shared with me, who 3 years ago was given a 3% chance. It was in my very early dark days and turned my life around and within a day I was hugely positive.

Battery charged. My friend rang me and said that right now you need absolutely no stress in your life. Nothing. Easier said than done as I had never been so low. It was 5 days after diagnosis… She shared what she was taught and what worked for her so I had nothing to lose as she is now doing so very well. She told me to build a house. Any colour, size, shape, design, it must be built next to flowing water. A stream, lake, river, ocean. Anything you want. She then said that every time I have a stressful situation, negative thought (which was my particular enemy) anything that was of concern to me, I was to take whatever it was into the house, wrap it up, take it outside to the water, place it in the water and watch it flow away. As soon as I got off the phone I was busy. All day I was busy. I was in and put of that house big time. Fur me all the bad energy was removed out of my head associated with what was mainly bad thoughts. By the end of the day I felt hugely mentally better. After that it didn’t matter where or when, I would deal with things there and then in the house. Especially at night when I put my head on the pillow. I use it for anything now. When I know of my friends who are having any difficulties in life I share this method with them. It was my saviour and I truly mean that. It’s what got me positive and that’s all I had at the time. I hope it works for you. Plus she said to get a long term goal something way off in the future and always focus on that. Blessings. Enjoy your Christmas.
