WLE and SNB uncomfy bras...any advice? (4days post op)

Looking for advice re reasonably priced bras/support bras. Have had WLE and SNB 8th June. Cannot find a bra or comfy sports top. The ones I have are either to tight around chest band (ribs) not supportive or just uncomfy full stop. Does anyone have any advice as to what they have found comfortable? Also my dressings don’t appear to be helping. Have been told to leave as long as possible. I have an appointment at clinic on Friday. I didn’t see a BCN or my consultant post op so not really sure if I need tobe wearing a bra all the time. I have been keeping one on 24/7 but feel uncomfy.
Sorry for the long post. Feel a bit in the dark. Hoping I can get more answers and support on Friday.

Hi there - I found these did the job, and at only £6, very affordable.

Had the same  op and abandoned my M&S supposedly comfy bras as they cut right into my LN excision. Ended up with half a dozen £6 Asda soft and comfys. They have a deep scoop neck so your boob can be got at, and wide straps. Also deep cut arms. No seams, and little pockets holding a bit of a pad. Super comforting for poor booby. I’m still wearing one in the day, and then one at night as I have started chemo and have a venous line , so can tuck the tubing bits inside. I’m big boobed so couldn’t get a sports bra. Hope this helps. X

Thanks ladies. Have just got an asda one but still a bit uncomfy. Might try the crossover one Helena that sounds like it might be what I need.
Thanks x

Hi I had a similar problem and ended up buying some m&s non wired bras even though they do not give as much support as some they are comfortable I have been advised to wear them 24/7 until the wounds heal, I do however now sleep without a bra as I have been given a small crescent shaped pad that fits wonderfully around my breast and stops things from moving around I am his nearly four weeks post op hope this helps

Hi! I had a second op last monday, went shopping on Tuesday for more bras as the ‘comfy’ one I had been wearing had a thick bit under my boob directly on a big bruise. I got some full cup non wired ones from m and s, it is more comfy, they were £20 each so not cheap.  Apparently they have wicking material, not that you can really tell in this weather!  Not sure how it will be on the snb cut, mine is quite close to my scar, but I had my snb 2 months ago so it is a bit more healed.

Thanks everyone. Currently in sports bras at the moment. On week 2 exercises now and finding I am getting alot of pain between my scars. Might check up with bc nurse tomorrow. Very achy ? Dressings now off and scars clean and clear. Healing well.
Anyone else having this?

I can recommend crop bra top from Tesco.  Only come in white or black but very comfy.  I wear mine round the house for flobbing and then put on a proper bra for walking, going out.  The latter I got post surgery ones from Debenhams because although I don’t have a prothesis, they have pure cotton liner so no seams.

for night then recommend secret support camis from ?tesco or M&S

Hi. I find that I have an achy stabby pain behind my nipple and where they removed the tumour.  My snb scar has settled but it still aches,  I did mention it to my bc nurse who told me it was normal, but I would mention it if you are concerned.  I hope it eases soon!

Thank you. Will check Tesco out and talk to bc nurse. X
