WLE SCAR Hi

I had a WLE on 6th April last year to remove a cyst, then on 29th April they went back into the breast and removed all the surrounding tissue, as well as all lymph nodes (they were all clear).

My scar is still a little tender and a little bit hard towards the middle and still looks slightly swollen above. Its always looked like this!

Anyone else who’s had a WLE, is your scar like this…?

I just finished rads on 3rd January so thats probably why it looks swollen…

Hi Suzanne, my WLE was Christmas 2005 and I am in the same boat and i think that can be fairly comon. my breast can still be very sore but i also had a reincision after that and brachytherapy ( which are rods through the breast, beautiful!) the scar is exactly like your own. I think the tissue has been through so much and considering that you are not long over the radio too

Thanks for your reply Ash…
I just wondered if the WLE scars were all kind of the same! My Onc said it would soften in time…here’s hoping!!
