Hi everyone, sorry if this post appears ridiculous. I was wondering if someone could give me comfort after my appointment at the breast clinic. I found a large painful lump about 3 weeks ago and my GP referred me to the breast clinic about it. I had my appointment with the specialist this morning but the lump literally disappeared over night last night so she couldnt find one. Because she couldnt find anything she said she wouldn’t send me for any tests. I’ve come out of it feeling more worried than when I went in. She said it was probably a cyst, but not having anything other than a feel has left me feeling unsure and I’m scared about not knowing 100% what the lump is. Should I request a scan, or leave it now feeling confident that there is nothing to worry about? I’d trust the specialist but I’ve seen that a scan seems to be the usual response to these things, is it normal for no tests to be carried out? if anyone could give some comfort or has had the same I would really appreciate hearing, just for the reassurance if nothing else!!! Thanks x
