Hi Amy
Welcome to the Breast Cancer Care discussion forums, you’ve come to the right place for some good support as the users of these forums have a wealth of information between them.
While you are waiting for replies I have put for you below a link to one of our publications - Referral to a breast clinic for you to have a look at before your hospital appointment, I hope it helps.

Hi Amy
Don’t worry about the time, the same thing happened to me and to lots of others the wt has been much longer, if it was in months then I’d throw a fit, it wont affect outcomes or anything.
Next nothing anyone can say will stop you from worrying although chances are everything will be fine as most lumps large or small especially in younger people are often not nastys more so if they seam to grow as that is more like a cyst behaviour (my lump stayed same for ages once I noticed it). Know severeal people your age with simmilar family historys and sensibly like you they go and get it looked at each time, one friend has recurrent cysts but with a poor family history is understandably always terrified each time one appears.
The next 2 weeks will be hell its normal, depending on what facilaties your area has you may well get your results either there and then or about a week later, so it will be stressfull.
If you need please come rant and rave on here cos we all understand, and we’ll all be wishing that its nothing nasty, cos great as this club is for help, support, laughter and tears its not one any of us wants anyone else to have to join.
Please let us know how you get on, will be thinking of you

Thanks Glenna
Only my husband knows at the moment, and he is so supportive, and he keeps saying everything will be fine, but i just keep thinking what if??
Its my daughters birthday next week so i know its just going to be one massive emotional roller coatser, as i have the appointment monday and her birthday wednesday.

Wow - how similar are we (I’m 28, kids, found a lump, got an appointment next Thursday etc etc).
I know EXACTLY how you are feeling as I feel the same. Got another week to get through, trying to hide emotions from the kids as I don’t want them to know anything is going on whereas in reality I just want to shout and scream.
Let me know how you get on on Monday. Will be thinking of you.
xx
