I’ve come onto this site just for some reassurance as a couple of weeks ago I found a lump on the top of my right breast near the middle of my chest bone, after prodding it, not believing it was there, the next day I woke up with a massive bruise with the lump underneath it.
I had an appointment at the GPs for something else the next day so asked her to have a look, she said it looked like a cyst and not to worry to much about it.
well over the last couple of days the small pea size lump is still there and now I’m getting dull pains in my arm pit, Ive made another app for Tuesday with a different Dr. to see what they say. I’am abit scared at the moment and don’t know what to think.
Just to say i’ve read the posts on here and you are all very brave Ladies X
AHi there
I can understand how scared you’re feeling cos I’m going through investigations myself and the not knowing is horrible. Although your gp is prob very experienced, to be honest I would insist on getting it checked out at a breast clinic by an expert. This is my personal opinion.
I’ll be thinking of you on Tuesday.

Hi Trixie2
Whatever your GP thinks the lump might be, its vital you get a referral to a breast clinic. The GP doesnt have a mammogram machine or ultrasound which you really need to have. As 80% of lumps are benign, it is likely its nothing to worry about but you wont rest till you know for sure. Please keep us informed as we worry!
Take care

Trixie please please ask to be referred to a breast specialist, as scary as that is it’s bettr than not doing it. Gp’s are marvellous people but even mine admitted that he wasn’t an expert in this field and would always refer to women for further investigation.
Let us kow how you get on as we do worry about each other on here.

Hi Ladies
Thank you for you’re kind words, I went to the GP’s again and saw another Dr.who works in the breast clinic, he has examined me again and has said it is a cyst. But if I’m worried or if it changes in anyway to go back.
I’am very relieved, but feel a little guilty that is’s OK as so many of you have to go through this awful worry with a not so good outcome.
Sending lots of love and big hugs.
