just after some feed back…support!!
story so far…i was diagnosed with BC dec 09, had mastectomy followed by 6 FEC chemo then 25 rads, my treatment finished 14th august…now just on tamoxifen for five years!!
Have been feeling unwell…alot more tired than usual, really bad lower backache, right hip area in some pain, plus i also had bad pelvic pain, went to see doctor who has decided to send me for bone scan (very scary thought!!) and an ultrasound on my pelvis, anyway ive not got date for bone scan yet but i had ultrasound on friday… got a call from doctor on friday evening… was surprised how quick they contacted me!!..ive got a large cyst on my right ovary that they dont like the look of (I mean words to worry any one of us who’s been thru BC), got to go in hospital this thurs to see specialist to discuss plan of what to do!!
To say im worried is actually an understatement!!!

My Sil had an operation to remove a large cyst on her ovaries last month. The pain she was in before the op had her doubled up. They did a keyhole procedure to remove it. The op was a day case, but she did have to rest up a while at home for a a couple of weeks after as she developed a bladder problem. This has resolved now and she is fine. Hope yours is straight forward too. I know every problem we have feels like it is related to bc. Hope you get the pain sorted soon.dx
hi lucy, i have no information to offer, but do wish you all the best, and am sorry you are having to go through this, what a nightmare for you. Hopefully someone who has more info will come along soon
Thankyou for your replies, i think whenever we feel some symptom…or have to face some other medical issue we automatically think its connected to BC so scare the pants off ourselves!!! but im convincing myself its not related…was just the words ‘dont like the look of it’ that sent chills thru me…a kind of de-ja-vu!!! painkillers are helping but will be relieved to get hospital appointment over so i know the plan.
