Worrying lump appeared 8 months after surgery

Hi
A sleepless night last night - background is lumpectomy followed by radiotherapy 8 months ago. Grade 2 IDC 11mm and 2mm in left breast . Lymph nodes were clear and breast surgeon said my treatment for an early breast cancer was curative . I take Letrozole with all its added side effects.
Recently my breast has started to ache and it itches like mad. Last night I noticed a soft lump under my arm near where they removed lymph nodes . It’s not solid , it’s a soft squishy lump but it freaked me out…… email sent to breast care nurse so hopefully hear back today. As anyone had anything similar

I got a soft lump close to the incision straight after I had some lymph nodes removed & it’s still there 7 months later, but has reduced in size slightly. I assumed this was caused by the nodes removal.

It’s good that you’re getting it checked out just in case . I also found a lump and freaked out but it was fat necrosis which my body had turned into an oil cyst . It was diagnosed by ultrasound and sometimes they need draining but mine gradually absorbed into my body though it was painful for a few days - an ache from the lump and a pulling / burning sensation that went right down to my elbow at one point . Mine wAs in my breast though not my axilla. I also had persistent itching after radiotherapy - even 2.5 years later it occasionally starts up in just one place . Hope you get checked out soon and an improvement in your pain and itching . Xx

To the lovely ladies that responded to my post. I went to the breast clinic today . I had a scan and it’s not another cancer. So so relieved ….
