As you have previously read, I have had a bilateral prophylactic mastectomy, and got immediate recon in 2001 , but this failed and then I got a severe infection on implants, got them immediately removed in 2005, then my nipples a few months later, I now wear stick on prosthesis.
However, in December 2006, I found another lump, this was removed under local anaesthetic, and the consultant marked three areas on the lump he wanted to test, these all came back benign, I did ask the question why I got another lump when I have had a mastectomy. He did say that it is rare but can happen.
However, last week, when on holiday, I have now found another lump about the same size as the last one, (grape) , just above where the last one was, on my right breast,
This is getting frustrating, I have saw my gp, and he has referred me back to my consultant.
The only other thing is my severe nerve damage is getting worse too, it is like so much electric shocks across my chest, and my arms are numb, with pins and needles. I have been getting treatment for nerve damage, but since this lumps
have appeared it has got worse.
Is there something I can do to try and ease this, ?
And what do I do about this new lump again? I am getting quite worried that this is another lump in such a short space of time, and why???
thanks xx
