Just scanning some other posts and it seems you need a sports bra or vest top post surgery. I haven’t been told this and haven’t bought anything.
Can anyone advise please?

Hi coconut bean, a M&S zip front sports bra with racer back was great. Go up. Outlet of sizes I. E. If 36 go for a 40, you’ll be little swollen and bandaged. Get some button front pj’s, take a dressing gown and a pair of flip flops/sliders. If you are staying in overnight, lip balm and hand cream too, you get so dry back on the ward. She got me a soft padded bra top from Asda she herself had used (I think they were £6) - very comfortable, but I found the problem was reaching up to put an overhead top on… (I had a WLE and SNB too). So,in retrospect, I would suggest a front fastening soft non wired padded bra/top if you can find one: m&s do a good range (and some are for women with breast cancer - so no VAT 
). I’m now in the market for nicer looking non underwired bras (not sure when I can return to wired), and have seen Next have a good range also.
I have kept the original bra top (s) though as they are comfy for sleeping in.
I will also add the M&S post surgery sports bra front fastening is very comfortable, however, it is low cut on the boobs (so I have to wear another top as well to stop my boobs jiggling when out jogging), and high cut under the arms (so I got an infection from it rubbing my SNB wound)

First of all, I hope the surgery goes well for you tomorrow. I’d add that it all depends on your size. I went braless while still wearing my dressing (I had a mastectomy and full axillary clearance). Then I found that the sports bras (Nike, M&S and Asda) I had all had seams in places that aggravated my skin. You may not be such a delicate little flower but, if you are, I can recommend UnderArmour’s seamfree sports bra, which has a good wide band below the boobs and holds everything in place. The sizing is VERY small. I’m a 34C and Medium was fine with just the one boob. You can step into it, which is handy and it has a little protective padding. For days indoors, I wore seamfree camisole vests in size 8 for a tight fit. It will be trial and error for you but, till your scar settles, avoid anything with lace, unnecessary seams etc.
I agree on the front buttoning pjs (Asda has a good choice around £14) - and similarly you’ll need to dress in loose, front-buttoning tops till you can comfortably move/raise both arms again. I ended up borrowing a couple of my husband’s softer shirts because I had a drip/bottle to haul around for the first week. I wasn’t staying overnight so I took a long cosy cardigan rather than a bulky dressing gown. I’d add bedsocks or loose socks cos your toes will get cold - hospital blankets are thin and weightless. You may have to wear dvt stockings for a short while (good luck!) - plenty of warmth there but no toe coverage.
Make sure you have some decent pain relief for once you get home. I didn’t use it but I have friends who needed it badly. Lip balm or Vaseline, plenty of water and someone to wait on you hand and foot were my essentials.
Don’t panic that you don’t have such things. An online order to George/Asda today and you’ll probably have them by Saturday. Good luck x

Don’t worry, I had a WLE and further surgery for margins late last year and hadn’t a clue about buying a special bra. Went home in the underwired bra I turned up in, both times, with no problem. Breast was numb so couldn’t feel a thing. The only issue I had was the car seat belt, which I held away from me whilst travelling home, obviously I wasn’t driving!
I bought a couple of crop top style bras, super cheap unpadded ones to sleep in, off ebay, jazzy colours but about £3 each, they gave some much needed support while sleeping, and some padded ones too for every day. So comfy I’m still wearing them! If they don’t fasten you can step into them and pull up.
