After reading the thread on Tricia, I thought the You tube video by Melissa Etheridge might be of intrerest to those going through chemo. Melissa Etheridge seems to give a true account of what it is like to go through treatment for most of us.
Heya Cookie.
What’s the name of the youtube clip you’re talking about I found one from 2005 which had Melissa and a few other people talking about her treatment.
She’s very remarkable woman and always has been. I’m a huge fan of her music and she’s very well known for her political points of view and I believe she’s quite and activist re Gay and lesbian rights (being Lesbian herself). Doesn’t surprise me at all that she’d be so open and honest abut what it’s like going through treatment. I loved her comment re chemo being the closest to hell she’s ever been. I know what she means there.
Thanks for pointing out there was stuff on youtube.

Hi,
I too am a fan of Melissa Etheridge. The You Tube link shows an excellent performance of the song she wrote ‘I Run for Life’ about her experience and is now a well known ‘anthem’ for BC charities in America.
You can also get onto her interview through this link. I do have the details, but not sure if I am allowed to put the site on here?
Best wishes

Hi
The clip is entitled “Melissa Etheridge A&E Biography of the Year 2005” but I can’t put a link to it here. When I was first diagnosed my husband told me about this clip but I was not ready to watch it back then, I didn’t want to know what was ahead of me but now with only 4 treatments to go I can relate to it.

First time I have seen that and it bought me to tears. Mind you a lot of things do at the moment lol.
Yes that was the one I saw. I encourage those about to start on the chemo road to watch it… it’s encouraging not depressing… honest and she has a belting strong voice (in a good way)
