young women living with secondary cancer

Hi there
Im 24 and at 23 was diagnosed with breast cancer wich sadly spread to my liver.
Im just wondering if their are any ladies my age group going through similar.
I tried the lavender forum but given my circumstances it is not the right place as it is for ladies with primary only (which is totally understandable)

Hope to speak to some ladies soon

Thanks
Connie

HI Connie,

I’m sure more people will come along soon and just wanted to say so sorry to hear about your diagnosis.  There are people sadly in their 20s with breast cancer who post so you have come to the right place.

If you’ve started treatment already I hope you aren’t suffering too badly from it.

Hugs

Ruby

Hi ruby
Thank you for the response
Yes i have finished treatment im just on herceptin now and part of the furniture at my chemo clinic lol
I hope you are well too
Im sure they will i thought id post as the other post ive seen is for women my age who have primary and their pathway is very different it some aspects to mine (which although iys horrible they gt the disease my fingers are cross once they have finished treatment etc they never have to look back it will be in the past and they can enjoy life to the fullest)
Not that i dont but it can be tough as you gt to plan it around treatment no jetting off to soutb america for 6 months with just a toothbrush for me only a 2 week holiday lol but you just embrace it there are and always will be someone luckier and worst off then you haha
Xxx

Thank you xxx

Hi

Know am not quite in your age bracket but have been experiencing the same as you, I am a very young at heart 42yo with 15yo son.

They tried to get me into a group at my local hospice but found everyone to be much older/or just maybe more mature than me so its very difficult.

Taken me long time to accept my diagnosis but have finally managed to get my head around things, just staying positive surrounding myself with family and friends constantly seems to work for me I discovered as hit rock bottom about 5/6 weeks ago and locked myself away which just made me worse.

I hope that your treatment is going well and you are feeling as well as you can? If you want to chat that be great if not no problem and I really do wish you the best for your future there are so many things they can do like, just hoping that every month I can survive they may be nearer to newer drugs to help cure this nasty liitle disease.

Awwww ruby thank you for your beautiful words
