Booked a place on the upcoming pilot event for Younger Women with Secondaries Together event in Manchester?
Feedback has said how helpful it was to talk on the Forums beforehand and this thread is a chance for you to say hello and “meet” others attending the event. I will check in regularly and if you have any questions do let me know and I will do my best to answer them.
Hello everyone I’m going to the event, it is my first one. I’ve not been out much in the last year since being diagnosed so really looking forward to meeting you all. Nadine x

I was was diagnosed with primary breast cancer in March 2011 and secondary in October 2013. I do attend a secondary support group run by Breast Cancer Care.
Look forward to seeing you all there to meet and talk in person.
I was diagnosed with Stage 3 ER +ve in May 13 and have been throuh chemo, surgery and radiotherapy to find out in Aug last year it had spread to my spine. We are very lucky in Cornwall to have a great breast care team and I have recently had the opportunity to attend the 1st group in Cornwall like this. I am looking forward to meeting you all next week. Stay strong ladies
Hi, I was diagnosed stage 4 breast cancer end of August this year (first diagnosis), so this is all very new and raw to me!
ER + 8/8, so on hormonal therapy for now. Really struggling with fatigue and muscle weakness, and a few other side effects (I already have chronic fatigue syndrome for the last 6 years).
I am trying to be strong and positive in front of everyone, as I have not told my family that it is incurable, but very difficult when side effects have made me feel alot worse!
I will be arriving on Friday morning, possibly around 8:30, as will have to travel in early when my partner goes in to work in Manchester.
Felt nervous about attending on my own, but guess we are all in the same boat! Hope we can all gain support and share experiences with each other.
Hi ladies
I’m coming up on the train on Thursday and will be joining you for dinner. Can’t wait to meet you all. I was diagnosed ewith primary breast cancer in 2004 when I was 31 and then secondary in Oct 2013. I have attended a support group but all the other women are much older than me so I’m looking forwards to meeting other women my age in the same situation xx
