‘Christmas is a wonderful time where we can all catch up with family and friends. It can also be demanding with present buying, wrapping, the tree to dress, the turkey or meat roast to stuff and all of us can feel a wee bit exhausted after the festive season is over. For those undergoing treatment or recovering after breast cancer our energy levels can be even more depleted by the rushing around and festivities. We would like to offer Younger Women with breast cancer the opportunity to take a much needed break after the Xmas period and join us for our Younger Women’s Forum in Cardiff on 23rd and 24th January 2009. This two day residential to be held in The Marriott Hotel in Cardiff City Centre will be an opportunity to meet other women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, share experiences and receive a whole host of useful information from our Forum speakers including sessions on management of breast cancer, fertility, reconstruction, sexuality and intimacy and other issues relevant to your diagnosis. The hotel has leisure facilities and is right in the City Centre so you can also indulge in some pampering, a spot of exercise, a relaxing swim or maybe even catch the tail end of the January sales. The course is open to any woman diagnosed with primary breast cancer aged 45 and under from anywhere in the UK. All costs of the two day residential will be met by Breast Cancer Care. On arrival, we would like to invite any partners or friends who may be bringing you along to come in for a cup of tea or coffee and meet the Breast Cancer Care staff who will be there to settle our participants into the hotel but can also provide your partners or supporters with information about some of the services Breast Cancer Care has for them. We look forward to seeing you in January. Further information is available from Sam Fairclough on 02920 234074 or the main centre reception on 02920 234070. ‘
