Hi
I had bc in feb 2007. Had lumpectomy, chemo and rads. They started tamoxifen but had to stop after 6 months as i developed pulmonary embolisms.
Have just had my 1st zoladex injection on 1st July and am due my next one on 29th July.
I noticed the past 2/3 weeks i have a definate swelling under my armpit quite high up on the side of surgery which wasnt there before. The other armpit doesnt feel the same that feels like it goes in whereas the other feels like its going out.Has anyone else experienced this.
Cant see anywhere as a side effect but dont know wheather to rush to the doc or see him when i next go about my embolisms.
The lump disappears as i lower my arm is only bulging when my arm is stretched up or with my hand behind my head.
would be grateful to hear from anyone else.
Thanks
jackie
Hi Jacqui
I have not experienced this although I am on Zoladex. I do have a lump under that arm which I understand is a fatty pad.which is now more prominent after node removal. My thing is if in doubt ring the BCN on Monday and see what they have to say about it if your BCN is not accessible then try your GP - definitley better than worrying.
Take care Jacqui
