I suppose this is a bit of a moan but also after some advice.
For context, I *was triple positive, diagnosed this time last year. I’ve had 6 chemo/immunotherapies, 2 surgeries (Mammoplasty and revision to get a bigger margin) I’m on number 7 of 10 Kadcyla as I didn’t acheive full response…and I’ve just had 15 Radiotherapy blasts.
Because I was diagnosed hormone positive (and I’m pre menopausal - 35) I am now on Zoladex and should be on Anastrazole.
Problem is, the Zoladex even 6 months in, hasn’t successfully shut down my ovaries, I haven’t had a period since I started it…but equally my bloods show that my ovaries are still up and running in some capacity. So rather than anastrazole I’ve been put on Tamoxifen… so far honestly it’s been okay EXCEPT my knees are in agony at the moment. I can’t squat down, I can’t sit on my knees on the floor and it hurts at this point even to be in bed and to have my legs out straight…Weirdly walking doesn’t hurt…but I’m after suggestions - what do I do here… will this improve?
Also…has anyone else experienced Zoladex not working??
