I went to bed, fell asleep, but woke at about 5, and then again at 7. Sleep is a luxury, isn't it? I went to one of those "support" meetings the other day, and they were talking about how to get to sleep. They didn't cover how to STAY asleep, though.
It's awful changing doctors, isn't it? I have moved several times in my life, including across continents, and found that replacing doctors, dentists, and hairdressers to be the most difficult part. Okay, not the most difficult, but the thing you don't think about. The sooner you go to the new one, the sooner you'll get used to him/her. You might find the younger ones have more knowledge. Modern knowledge, that is.
Hope you got some sleep and are feeling better this morning.
Well, that doesn't seem very fair. She feeds you just enough to make you worry, and then makes you wait! Can you ask the surgery to slot you in if there's a cancellation?
I haven't had your experience (except for the waiting part), so I can't help you there. All I can really do is give you a virtual hug, and sympathy. Your wobble and your tears are to be expected. I hope you manage to get some sleep tonight. I am going to head for bed, now, and see if I can sleep, too.

Oh mate so feel for you, I am no expert but I can not see that it would stop your op especially as you are already on antibiotics which would have well kicked in by Thursday but I do think it would be a good idea to let your employers know about this and that you are now going to be on sick leave just to make sure that you give yourself the time to get over it and prepare for the op.
Yep we can all relate to that feeling, you were not feeling ill before diagnosis and then all this starts to happen, but it will get better honest, I always found it was the early hours of the morning when everything just felt so !!!!! Of course with shock comes the stress of it all and that can lower your immune system but you will get there

Oh mate sorry to hear that you are suffering with this. I can honestly relate to that feeling having suffered with them through my life.
I would suggest that you give your breast care nurse a call tomorrow and just let her know what has happened and what anitbiotics you are on. It always best that they have the most up to date information with regard to any tablets you may be on anyway, even if it is not long term. She hopefully will be able to give you the reassurance.
I would most difinitely stay off work now especially with the uti but also to give yourself rest before your op on Thursday.
Sending you a hug

Hi. I don't have the answer, but I can tell you there's very little that stops the operation, as the WLE is considered urgent. They told me, when I had mine done, that under normal circumstances they would have stopped mine because of my blood sugar level, but the surgery was too urgent. It's a pity these questions always occur to us one weekends, don't they, when there aren't any professionals around?
