It is hard without my mum but i have a great support system, i have my boyfriend and my family and also the support of boyfriends family, without them i would be a complete mess. I hope that once my eggs have been frozen that the chemo will start straight away, but i see my ongologist on friday, because my mum had breast cancer i think i will have to undergo a gene test to see if i carry the cancer gene which im worried could delay my treatment.
The dr said i will be recieving chemo, surgery then radiotherapy, i see my ongologist on friday to discuss how much treatment i will be recieving.
The dr said they have caught it early as i have a 19mm by 13mm lump in my left breast and also it spread to a few lymph nodes.
You too had your eggs frozen, what should i expect when they start the process.
I know what you mean breast cancer at such an early age is complete bs.
I lost my mom 18 months to cancer so was completely shocked when i found out i also had it. Although there is a history of breast cancer with my mom but finding out i had it has completely threw me and my family.
I caught mine early too! We are lucky in that sense!
Yes so triple treatment like myself. I think they probably over treat us when we are young, just to be on the safe side.
In terms of egg freezing, it’s 2 injections once a day, for around 2 weeks. It can be more and it can be less. You will have scans in between to see how the follicles are growing. It’s nothing too scary.
I’m sorry about your mum, it must be so hard without her at your time of need. I hope you have lots of others around you?
For me, my story is completely different, no history of BC whatsoever! So a huge shock to me and my family.
Just want the chemo to start now so that I can feel like it’s being killed!

Have they given you a treatment plan yet?
I think with TNBC they don’t have any targeted treatments, but chemo works just as effectively.
When I found out I have Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Grade 3 which is also HER2+ last month, they talked through my treatment plan. I am having chemo with targeted drugs, a double mastectomy and radio therapy (triple treatment).
I see that you also are freezing your eggs, your hormones will be up and down like mine are/ were. I’m hoping this soon fades, as it’s enough to deal with the concept of BC without other unnecessary hormones taking part.
Ring your breast cancer nurse if you have any unanswered questions. Mine has been a god send.
P.s. I’m only 25, and it’s rubbish to have to have such a hurdle before the age of 30!
I have recently been diagnosed with stage 2 grade 3 invasive ductal breast cancer triple negative at age 28. I have not heard of triple negative breast cancer before and i am worried about it and how its gonna be treated.
