Hi ggx. I totally understand your anxiety-I was diagnosed in March and am still waiting for my surgery. While waiting for surgery and treatment, I also did some research, trying to reduce my stress. As you mentioned, the Denmark study was done in 2011, using patient data from decades ago! Treatment for BC has been developing, and the rate of recurrence is much lower than before! Over 80% of patients diagnosed with I-III stage BC remained disease-free 12 years after the initial treatment according to a most recent study. For IV patients, living with cancer for over 10 years is quite common now. Let’s stay confident! best wishes, Rose
