That’s so quick that’s amazing. Mine was last Sunday and I only get them Tuesday too. This week has been unbearable I’m glad you have been saved that x
Bless you I know how unbearable this part is but you’re almost there. You are doing amazingly well and we are right with you. Exactly, one foot in front of the other and stay in the present.
I will be thinking about you and remember whatever the outcome there is always options especially now that they have immunotherapy for TN and it responds extremely well to chemotherapy.
Lots of Love and positive energy your way xxx
Yes one foot in front of the other is the only way to do. Also try not to over worry although it’s really tricky.
At the moment you feel fit and well so carry on as usual, get out and about with your family and enjoy yourself as much as possible. Whatever your treatment plan there’s going to be days you can’t do that so make the most of it now.
Yes that’s what you do and be aware that CT scans can also show benign incidental findings so try not to panic if they do find “something”. I have a phlebolith in my pelvis and a hemangioma on my liver. Who knew?! x
Thinking of you today @wildthingsare and hoping for good results x
All the best for those results today @wildthingsare
x
Good luck for your results today @linz1314
x
Thanks guys. Just back and no spread. It’s in my nodes but I knew that . Starting chemo within two weeks and having ec for the first three. Any recs for what I might need will be appreciated xx
Great news! Onwards and upwards
That great news @linz1314! I’d suggest joining the monthly chemo thread depending on what your start date is. You can jump between threads so you can see experiences and advice from those starting at the same time, those who’ve gone before and those who come after. I can’t see a July one as yet but I’m sure one will be started soon. x
That’s good news @linz1314
This is great news in the circumstances. Sorry @linz1314 I forgot to @ you too! Onwards and upwards. Getting the chemo started will feel like you’re making progress to crack it!
I had EC first. As mentioned above cruise the chemo monthly threads and join the one relevant to you if / when it is made.
Think about whether you want to cold cap.
The anti sickness meds are amazing - take them preemptively as your oncologist suggests. Drink loads of fluid - water and squash. Get as much rest as you can when it starts. EC was honestly not as bad for me as I expected!
Best of luck! Xx
Truly hoping knowing what you’re facing and finding out the treatment plan eases some of your fears.
I will this, in my experience if you are having a rough day and need extra support just find a way to let the medical staff etc know. They really do try and make the whole thing more bearable and do able.
I write that as someone who at every initial appointment collapsed from hospital caused ptsd, three adverse reactions (please be aware l have a history of adverse drug reactions to ordinary kinds of things) leaving me in a worst state which my caring oncologist gently scooped up and advocated like crazy for me to have reasonable adjustments in place.
It’s hasn’t spread past the lymph nodes I just found out ![]()

am shaking with relief. Thank you for all your support this week
Fantastic news! ![]()
Ah amazing! We have got this xxx
Amazing news @wildthingsare! x
That’s good news @wildthingsare x
Hi there. Your post rang a bell with me so I thought I’d like to let you know my story a little bit.
I was diagnosed aged 38 and I had 2 children, the youngest was 11.
It had spread to my lymph nodes too.
But look at me now, I am nearly 54 years old and completely well. I did have a second tumour in the other breast nearly 5 years ago. No evidence of any other occurrence at the moment.
Treatment is very effective and I thank God and the NHS, I am grateful for everything.
Thank you I needed to hear something like this today xxxx
