Hello girls hope everyone doing ok with their chemo and SE’s. I have got my CT scan tonight 6pm to check major organs for spread. I know I wont get any results but I am bricking it - when you dont know you haven’t got it! I have turned into a nutter talking out loud in my car telling my angels to make sure it hasnt gone anywhere else - I aint leaving my 10 year old!!
Enjoy TT Pauline, with or without hair it will be fab and your wig looks great so go for it big time!

day 6 after second fec, feeling abit weird today, shacky and not quite right,had a horrid slepless nite , every time i dosed off i kept having horrid dreams and seeing things, as eneyone else had this happen, it was a hot night, i took my temp and it was fine, am going docs today for sicknote so shall mention it, nausea has been worse this time as-well, hopefully will wear of soon,
lulu34 good luck for your first treatment,shame you didnt enjoy oasis, i go every time they play, and am hoping to pick up a ticket, for the 7th july when hopefully i will feel better,
pauline gutted your hair is coming out, get the double sided out,it makes your wig feel so much more secure,

Hi,Julie i think you have to tell your doc what you feel it is important they know so if possible to help you …i had pain in my shest aeria so i talk to chemo nurse and she make app for ECG today …

Hi,Debie i think is good you have CT scan i dont know why when i ask for CT scan for me they say that at the mo i dont need one because they only show something if there is tumor …so i am thinkinkg of it reading here that most people have scan Do you have it in your lymph nodes?..Christina
krisad, i had CT scan as routine as i had i out of 4 lymph nodes involved.
Well girls the shoulder length hair had to come off today as it was coming out in handfulls this morning, just hope this will last till after sunday for when i go to see the ‘boys’. Cried at the hairdressers and cried again when they refused to let me pay, bless em.

Sally good luck for tomorrow, someone recommended to me to use corsodyl daily twice a day and touch wood i had no sore mouth after first one and i am prone to ulcers so i think it must be helping. have my 2nd next thursday so heres hoping it continues.
debs sorry to hear you were a bit off it this morning, hope your feeling a bit better now, go farming to take your mind off it lol

good luck Lulu - hope it goes well. Drink plenty of water it helps. Keep meals small and often and follow your own body - it will tell you what to do.
Glad you are feeling good mumsy and still 2 weeks before the next so enjoy!.

Good luck for tomorrow.Difflam oral mouthwash is recommended to me by my husband - retired dentist. Corsodal is also good but can temporarily stain teeth; nothing a hygirnist cant sort out though. Got some from Boots today. Make sure they dont sell you the throat gargle…oral wash is the one
Krisi i think they only do CT scans when they are looking for something, in my case the primary! They think it was breast cancer but couldnt find on mammo or ultrasound so they did CT to check if there was anything anywhere else. In your case they obviously dont have any concerns so take heart from that.

re the mouthwash my ONC and son-in-law (my dentist too) told me to use Colgate Alcohol free mouthwash, Corsodyl might burn apparently!

Hi everyone, had the CT scan this evening and they had trouble injecting the dye in cos the veins in my “chemo arm” are going hard - GREAT - got chemo no 4 next Thursday - reckon they’ll stick it in my feet. Someone asked on here if I lost any lymph nodes - it was in 3 out of 10, so yes. But the reason I had scan is I was in agony with rib pain after the op so had a bone scan and they found secondaries in bones so hence this scan to check organs. Everything crossed everyone!!

chemo went ok… i dont feel too bad at all just a wee headache but no nausea which is great.
also got my new wig today which isnt a bob… ill post a pic soon.
pauline your hair looks great… i have to go back in 2-3 weeks to get mine shaved off when it starts falling out… my wig person Helen is excellent and says she takes it all off with no mirrors so you just go home in your wig… she says its less traumatic although my dad did offer but dont think he would cope if he actually did it.

Glad to know everyone is keeping well.
Sally good luck for tomorrow. After last post to you re hair, I got my daughter to get sissors and hair clippers out, and just go for it!! Now day 16 and sporting a hair style that can only be described as a Judy Dench but shorter.
Took a bit of a fever last nite and temp went up to 37.7 and then thank goodness peak and was back to norm this morning. Bit of a headache and tird but body seems to have been able to fight it off itself so taking it easy at mo. Def bad idea to go out in public during that low week.
Anyways good luck to all the girls who’s chemo coming up shortly and take things easy.
