Interesting about the rads. initially i was told that I needed ‘just’ mastectomy and rads… then after the op suddenly I needed 6 FECing chemo and 15 sessions of rads…
Im just trying to do as iM told not easy after all my years of doing just the opposite!! Im very tired been sorting 30 years of hoarding and doing one room at a time but its sooo tiring!!
I finish chemo 1st October!!we’re all roughly about the same time!
Sally, I cant bath at the house without seeiong me in mirrors but I just try to avoid looking, cant believe my man wants to take on a one titted bald woman with a delight in wearing different wigs and scarfs… I HATE the look you get in shops when scarf wearing and some old moo wished me ‘good luck’ with my treatment, as though I was about to die today!! On antibiotics for seroma , wont touch me till end of week, but the really good news today is that the house sale fell through, the bloke says hes lost his job… yeh??
oh well this bunny is just too tired of everything, Im going bed, gotta meeting with Human Resources at the hospital to discuss my lengthy sick leave, methinks bit ominous…

Hello Annie - live just outside Mundesley - been here 7 years - originally from East London so you can imagine how much we love it up here!! Got a beach hut between me and my family and go to beach as much as poss - my boy loves getting in the sea with his body board and attempting to surf - love him - we didnt even live near a park before so we really make the most of the lovely environment.

hello maidmarion, you and me seem to have similar syptoms, very dry mouth this time, am sucking sweets or chewing chewing gum,along with dinners with sauce,i have also gone of sweet stuff (was never a big fan,)my sister keeps buying me these lovely jellie babys which my oh keeps eating,even though i have gone off them ,i dont want him eating them all, as my nails are lovely at min, i assume due to the gelatine,sorry for ranting!!!
lulu, i too am triple neg as have no +,even though onc would not use them words, i am to have 25 rads and chemo all being well last one 11th sep, now what you mean about looking in the mirror, i dont like seeing myself and if the children come up stairs i wake my hat on, i still have eyebrows/lashes but think they will perhaps come out om tax, which my first is 31st july, i am booked on a look good feel better workshop, which i am relly looking forwards too,will show me how to put false ,eyelashes/brows on ,i will have a look at lashes in the pound shop guess what £1 lol,sorry ranting again!!!

The sun has just come out here. Its a shame that we all live so far apart as we all finsh around the same town we could have had a party to celebrate.
I now have a very sore arm with is part due to the epi in the fec mix. also when i had my last chemo the vien they try to use blew.
We are going to york for 2 nights on Subday My treat for the good week from the OH. Only troublle when we get back I’m a bit nearer to the mext lot. well at least that will be another one crossed of the list.

Julie m , Hoews your mouth mine seams abit better today but still cannot eat a lot of very dry food. Hope you enjoy the look good session I went a coulpe of weeks ago and realy enjoyed it you get a great bag full of goodies.

Mumszy more cr.p to deal with, what a shame about your house and your man loosing his job. Mine got told he will lose his job in aug too, do they not know we have enough to deal with as it is. surly things can only get better.
I know what you all mean about looking in the mirror, all i see is a bald, one titted fatty at min but wait till this is all over girls. We have a second chance and we will look like jordan in a hair comercial, slim, big titted with georgeous hair, you wait and see, better than before (i can dream can’t i?)

maidmarion, my mouth is better though abit furry, to stop it getting sore i have a salt water rinse before i have anything else, and mouth wash at night,seems to stop it getting sore, am having chewy in the day because it is dry
going as i have a house full of kids today, neighbour going for mediation,x 1 child ,and my friend rang to say her 4 year old has broken his arm x 2 children along with my 2 should be fun, im used to working with 2-3year olds not older ones that cheek me back,sure i will cope

To everyone that has suffered with a sore mouth/tongue… I had a terribly sore cracked tongue on my 1st fec and after the 2nd i thought i was getting thrush on day 3 so went to Dr and he gave me Fluconazole 50mg, take 1 per day in evening and low and behold NO sore mouth, so ive got it again ready for day 3 of this one… still had a bit of a furry mouth but not as bad either,
just wizzing round having a good clean today so it doent matter if it dosent get done for a few days…

PS OH has anyone tried the travel sickness wrist bands as my ONC says they are really good to help with the nausesa. Its worht a try though

Sally thanks for that will have a word with onc next week about mouth. Its not too bad just feels like saliva is really thick and tougne a bit tender. It didn’t last as long before. Its great to be half way through like getting to the top of the mountain the next one sees you coming down the other side. Well that how I look at it.Good luck for the 3rd one.

Hi Debbie- you are so lucky to live in Norfolk.Unfortunately I didn’t get there on Weds. My brother and sister in law were coming up with me but their grand daughter has swine flu and they were in contact with her on sat. I didn’t feel I could risk it so we cancelled. Hope to go on Weds 29th. Maybe weather will have improved by then!

Have been to the cinema this afternoon to see My sister’s keeper. Lovely film but oh so sad. Cried all the way through.Maybe not the best film to see at the moment.

donna sorry to hear your still having problems have you got plenty of medication to help i have lactulose solution to drink morning and night and dioctyl capsules i take 3 times a day and try to drink plenty fluids and fruit and veggies… i also tried miovicol which is meant to be fantastic but it tasted so bad i couldnt drink it and nearly made me sick… there is a flavoured one that is meant to be better.
