Hi lols I’m having 6 x docataxel plus herceptin and perjeta I’ve finished my steroids and been taking sickness tabs and so far so good, have to start 2 more tabs on Tuesday one for mouth thrush and the othfor looks like an antibiotic, ill be rattling before I’ve done but I’m taking everything I’m given. been moisturising my hands and as told but will still be anticipating when this chemo will kick in and bite me in the bum as I know it will do some time over the next couple of weeks, but keeping busy not thinking about it to much just hoping all this bloody stuff works and holds it off xxxxx
Thank you Lols - I’ve amended my list!
Penny
Thanks Gilly - I’ve amended my list.
Penny
Good evening maises.
For those of us wondering why we’re having the drugs we are when others are having something different, there’s a really good explanation on a thread called something like “what’s the difference between fec and ec …” it might have dropped ooff the front page onto page 2.
Good luck to anyone stepping up to the bar this week. x
HI Penny. I’m impressed!!! The Junkies are a much smaller group and seem more self contained so I haven’t updated our list cos I don’t have the information, but I do agree with Lols that it is nice to know who is going to the bar together and who we need to keep an eye on. I’m having E-CMF and my second dose is on Tuesday 20th August. Glad Orkney was wonderful - always wanted to go there
Hugs to all x

Hi Maises

Have not been communicating much been in a black hole - you guys are wonderful …
Georgina.
Hi Georgina, I found the time between op and oncologist the hardest. You will be fine once that is over and you know your treatment plan. Good luck for Wednesday xxx
Penny you are a star updating the list. Good luck on WEdnesday Georgina, i hope you have some brighter days before then. xxx

Thank you Benedictus. I confess I started the group list simply as an aid to myself as I couldn’t keep everyone’s details straight in my head. It is useful to see who is having what, when but, golly, there are SO many of us this month. Shocking.
Orkney is fabulous. Add it to your “little list” of must-see places.
Georgina - it’s a day at a time. Good luck with your oncologist’s appointment on the 7th. Thinking of you.
Penny
Hello everyone,
Thank you for making me feel welcome. Unfortunately I’ve been in casualty for most of the day! I had my mastectomy five weeks ago and been having problems with fluid build up. The site has been drained four times now (including today) and this time has been the worst. I’m in so much pain across my chest and arm and it feels so tight I can’t seem to get comfortable. I’ve taken painkillers round the clock since Friday evening to no avail. When the surgeon drained the fluid earlier he said that I will need to go to the breast clinic tomorrow for an ultrasound to see what’s going on. Quite down in the dumps really and feel so worn out, so hopefully it will be sorted out properly tomorrow.

Evening girls thank you so much for updating the list Alix (Penny) it must have taken you ages! Very useful though, isn’t it sad to think such a lot of us are going through this, and probably more who won’t join a forum like this? I had to cancel a cruise both for the actual ship and the flight to New York. It was Canada and New England in the fall and I am still miffed I can’t go!! Onc said it wasn’t worth the risk so I am trying to be a grown up about it but it’s just one more thing this disease is responsible for!
Take care, glad your oh coming home Sam it always helps! Georgina keep chatting it does help! Xx
