Thanks Bella,
You’re quite right
it’s nice to feel a softer boob tonight! It goes really tight and hard when it need draining!

My bcn threatened to fit me with a boob stoma bag if it kept leaking!!
I think my boob heard her :rofl: it promptly dried up and retreated.

Fingers crossed for no more boob humps!! :grimacing:

I feel ok in every other way
my lymph site/arm pit is great. Far less troublesome than my actual boob. Thankfully, post ‘stab ‘n’ suck’ it almost matches its mate next door tonight. That’s the first time it has, so I think I’m over the worst now.

My mother always said I was an ‘awkward bleeder’

Hay ho

How are you doing Bella?

Urgh I had a stoma bag when I had endless seromas after first mastectomy. It was grim!

I’m fine thanks, much better mentally after meeting with surgeon today. Physically though my underarm is a bit sore/swollen/numb, I keep rubbing it hoping it helps. I think my soft crop tops are irritating my other scar so I do ‘remove boobage’ and go commando in an oversized T-shirt when I’m at home. So glamorous :star_struck::joy:

Thank you Bella

There’s still a way to go but hopefully that will go smoothly.

I do feel a bit guilty that this journey has been easier for me and it was only early breast cancer but if I have learnt anything it’s that you never know what’s round the corner.

I would love to keep in touch with you ladies if that’s okay?

C xx

Get ‘em out girl!! I had to go commando in the first few days post surgery. Primarily because I was so swollen (day 1/2) that even my biggest post surgery bra was no where near meeting in the middle. I found I was better without too and just shuffled around with my hand supporting my boob or else holding a pillow.
I’m having to wear one right now- surgeons orders  but I hate sleeping in the bloody thing!

Have you got a bit of a break now before further treatment?

I’m due back on the 8th for results but my surgeon said it might be before that. I’m actually happy to wait until the 8th
I could do with a bit of a rest before the madness starts again.

Hope things are getting easier for you :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

This is one of the funniest conversations I think I’ve ever had about cancer! It just goes to show the strength that us ladies can have when challenged and how we can be there for each other.

I know we have never met but I love looking for updates from you lot and appreciate the soul baring truths from strong ladies like @smak

Hope you’re feeling better now you’re back home and fingers crossed there’s no more stab and suck :crossed_fingers:t2:

Please tell me you haven’t scared the Amazon delivery man yet whilst going commando :joy:

I’m only wearing a soft bra so as not to scare my poor daughter’s boyfriend and put him off his breakfast first thing in the morning!

I’ve been wearing a crop top type thing from Peacocks but the good boob is slipping down under the elastic now so might have to update it

:sparkling_heart:

Will you stop it Alison, everyone in the room is looking at me laughting at yours and Bella’s comments :joy:

I’m struggling without a bra at night especially when sleeping on my side

I bought a heart pillow from the Cancer Research shop and it’s been a godsend along with the V pillow

Well ladies I went out for the first time today since op. I did have a soft bra on and didn’t go commando so any Amazon driver I was likely to meet was safe ! Are you ladies driving now ? I haven’t yet but am keen to get back on the road. What part of the country do you all live in ? Only asking so I can put your Amazon drivers on high alert. Wishing you a good nights sleep xxxx

Would never do that, I need my bonkers boob buddies :joy:

Hi Sheelagh, lovely to hear from you

I was told today that although the wounds have healed I mustn’t rush back into doing things. I have to wait another week to drive as I have a manual car. It’s a couple more weeks for repetitive housework such as hoovering and ironing, what a shame!!

I’m in Harlow, Essex but can’t go commando so my delivery drivers are safe for now :joy:

Well done on venturing out, did you look like Napoleon holding on for dear life like us odd booby friends or were you more normal?!?

Hope you’re feeling okay hun :sparkling_heart:

Oooh a dare, please send us updates Alison and Bella :joy::joy:

Hey, I need a stern word with you!

  1. Early breast cancer should never be prefixed with the word ‘only’ and you must not feel guilty, you’re going through all the same emotional and physical pain and it’s tough right?
  2. You’re not going anywhere, we bonkers boobs babes are sticking together :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

We need you Charlotte :kissing_heart:

And MissW, my radio starts next Monday so I’ll be flashing a radiographer every day for 10 days :flushed:

On the subject of driving i was told to leave it a week. I was quite surprised at only a week! Anyway i drove yesterday but found it wasnt just the pain and stiffness that effected me, i seemed to have lost a bit of confidence. I was in a lot of pain afterwards so will leave it for now i reckon!
I had lumpectomy and lymph nodes done but was complicated by my previous LD surgery. So its quite painful anyway.
Hope you are all coping with what this blooming treatment throws at you xx

Well said Bella. Us BBB’s need to stick together. Looks like you will be the first to flash for Radiographers . You will have to share your experience with us. Have you far to go to hospital every day ? I imagine it will be quite draining. We will always be here for each other now
