I feel a bit guilty saying this but I’ve not had constipation. I’ve been drinking prune juice and eating prunes every morning and as a vegetarian I have a high fibre diet anyway - so not sure if that’s made a difference? I try and eat oats, lentils, beans and loads of fruit and veg every day. I add extra veg to my meals and I add seeds and nuts to my porridge every morning. I also drink loads of water x

@gromit12 @hc1973 - if drinking the Laxido becomes too much (alongside the Gaviscon, the salt water gargle etc :face_vomiting:) my BCN encouraged me to buy Senacot tablets to use instead. You only take one at bedtime :slightly_smiling_face:

I’ve just ordered a bamboo wig liner type cap from Amazon, I will let you know what it’s like. Apparently they are good for the summer keep you cool and also protect your wig from getting sweaty! If it’s good I will post the link x

@hc1973 I have to have a liner or else it slips everywhere, but let me know what yours is like :+1:

Yes it should arrive today, I’ve got the hair net thing from when I tried it on so hadn’t even thought of it slipping! Soon we are going to all be experts on all things wigs!

Me again! I had my EC on Thursday and still feeling a bit sicky just wondered how everyone else felt after a few days. I had really bad indigestion last night. At the moment I sort of feel sore inside but can’t quite put my figure on how I completely feel! I just wondered how you guys all felt after? As I had the docetaxal before I’m not sure what’s normal! Should I still be feeling yucky or am I expecting too much ?H xx

Sorry to hear that @hc1973, I don’t think it’s unusual and hopefully you have some meds to use? I’m at the end of my 2nd EC cycle and felt a bit sick most of last week. The BCN yesterday suggested that I could have continued to take Domperidone, especially one at nighttime and first thing (on an empty stomach) She also said things like ginger or peppermint tea, a plain biscuit or cracker or sipping fizzy drinks might all help.
I’ve been on omeprezole since cycle 1 and it has definitely helped my indigestion. It’s only one tablet a day in the morning. Also Gaviscon, which I hate but definitely has helped too

Oh thanks @altoan i will definitely go and buy some Gaviscon today! I only had Rennies last night and they didn’t do much! It’s so hard to know what to expect isn’t it and I’m really inpatient and keep thinking well I will be ok after a couple of days, just starting to realise that maybe I’m not being realistic! X

Morning hc1973 I feel for you I also had really bad reflux and indigestion after a couple of days after my first EC I tried Gaviscon first by the bucket loads but unfortunately it didn’t give me long enough relief so my GP prescribed omeprazole which has helped massively.
Although I feel fortunate I wasn’t sick and managed to stay off the anti sickness meds, I did feel muzzy and headachy for the first few days - I just drank loads of water as advised to clear it from my system -I’m sure this has helped me ( although even water felt like it burned me when the reflux was bad).
I was heading for round 2 this Friday but have just developed a urine infection so think I probably will be postponed :frowning:.

@hc1973 - yes I definitely feel sick and a bit off after EC. I’m on day 6 of my second cycle now and had to go to bed early last night I felt so rubbish. Had an upset stomach, felt nauseous and generally weird. I also had terrible indigestion after cycle one - strangely I’ve not had it this time but the nausea has been worse. I’ve found things start to improve in the second week after EC so hopefully you’ll feel better soon x

@hc1973 I had awful nausea the night of EC X1. Had had aripretane (wrong spelling) tablet pre chemo and for next 2 days, also ondansetron twice a day, and they sent me home with metoclopramide too as extra. Felt so awful that I phoned emergency line and they told me to take aripretane for 3 days, and ondansetron for 5 days and start taking the metoclopramide 3 times a day until it settled- which I did for 4 days. Resulting constipation which then needed laxido. I have round 2 on Thursday (bloods today) so will start taking laxido straight away!! Indigestion came on towards end of that first week. Can’t take omeprazole so survived with gaviscon and cold milk- can’t drink coffee any more, so it’s cold milk for me!!!
