Morning all,

Brilliant news @gromit12 glad 2nd time has (touches wood) went smoother for you, hopefully today goes just as well.

Any advise for mouth ulcers on the inside off your lip  I could feel something brewing last night before bed & this morning Ive got 2 & mouth just feels weird in general today :roll_eyes: I’m brushing my teeth & mouth washing as it is, however think ive got some gel I can stick on, anyone else had similar?

I managed 5000+ steps yesterday & slept like a log, its the most Ive been able to walk so far since starting chemo :partying_face: my belly situation has also calmed down which is AMAZING :clap: however my taste buds are still shattered :face_with_peeking_eye::face_with_peeking_eye: anyway its all getting back to some sort off normal all in time for round 2 on thursday :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

Have a lovely weekend all xx

First question the pharmacist asked was you’re not immuno suppressed are you :rofl: fortunately a hard copy letter arrived from oncology just as I was leaving to say I needed the COVID jab today  So which side do I lie in tonight? Percy the PICC line or the jab site!!!:rofl:

@ivegotthis01 well done in your step count, I’m convinced my exercise is really helping me, if only fresh air, I walk every day regardless even if it’s just across to the park. Even ran a race last weekend- albeit a bit slower than usual!
As for mouth ulcers- it was my tongue that was so sore. Hospital gave me this

I asked for some more when I was in on Thursday as it really numbed my mouth xx

OMG @gromit12 that looks like my worst nightmare - I really hate needles. I am now so scared - 18 weeks of that. I’ve got to think about this how not to have it.good for you - amazing you are all doing so well - I can’t go back to look at it :flushed:. Take care x

@collywobbles it’s not really, there is no needle left in, just a fine tube and I don’t notice it’s there. Wear a PICC cover. Sorry if my pic upset you, I will try to remove it xx
PS pic removed xx

Thanks! I hope it arrives soon! Definitely post a pic xx

Hi @collywobbles, it’s hard to take it all in we’ve all been the same here and still learning. Try to take it one day at a time I know it’s hard. It’s surprising how what initially worry’s you soon passes and then your on the next step of the journey. My hair came out few weeks back and I hated that but am now used to it, I got a lovely wig but find I like head tubing more comfy. I don’t have a picc line mines is given through cannula. Everyone’s seems different. Sending hugs :hugs:

Aw thanks xx

This happened to me 2 weeks ago. I couldn’t stand hairs coming out everywhere and I found that worse. . Now 2 weeks on I wouldn’t say I’m used to it but rarely see it lol as have it covered constantly because I’m freezing but have a nice wig if needed. I’ve ordered lovely headbands which I put over the wig and tuck hair in if it’s windy xxxx

Thanks everyone  it’s off now and I really thought I would feel sad as only 2 years I donated my long blonde hair to the Princess trust and had just managed to grow it back when I received my diagnosis.
Anyway I actually feel quite liberated and free !!
I’ve a few soft hats but have also been wearing a deep headband ( from one of the hats) to catch my hair but going forward I think I will be a hairband and cap girl .
Have a lovely weekend all :hugs:B x
