BBBs

Ha ha, I don’t own a boat (I wish!), I just happen to live near a sailing school so did some courses when I moved down here :sunglasses:

Re. Sleep. Now you mention it I have slept quite well the last 2 nights and I had taken antihistamines both days, not for that specific purpose but for a random eye irritation. Maybe that’s the way ahead :thinking:

Take your meds BBBs, you know it makes sense :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: and have a great weekend x

Bxx

That’s interesting Bella,
It certainly sounds like something to try. I might see tonight if it works. I was awake at 2am today :yawning_face:, so I could use a good nights sleep!

I can’t remember where I read it but I think it was an American study about AI side effects and the different options.

I read that a control group were given Clarityn and the others a placebo. The antihistamine showed a marked up tick in improved sleep. It doesn’t adversely effect the AI, so it’s an option…

I’ll give it a try tonight and let you know
:crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

Might have to get some and try. Been awake since 3 but that’s normal for me

Nothing to loose by trying it lovie :yawning_face:

I took one along with my AI last night and had a deeper sleep :clap::clap: It wasn’t an 8 hr job but I think I had a better quality of sleep…

So, ladies, I think it might be worth a try for all of us??

I’m going to try again tonight and I’ll report back…

Give it a go Sheelagh?? Those 2am nights really take it out of you don’t they :yawning_face::yawning_face:

:crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

Night sweats!!! Urgh….
Gawd. Hello 3am- again :woman_shrugging:
Antihistamine isn’t working tonight… obviously :roll_eyes::hot_face:
Fan on, sheets changed, pint of water later and I’ll see if I can get back to sleep again.

This sucks!! …

Oh no, it’s horrid isn’t it? However I’m not sure how much of it is because it’s still quite muggy at the mo? Only a real autumnal temperature drop will help understand this.

When I had bad ones on tamoxifen I slept on a bath towel, definitely helped.

Hope you went back to sleep ok xx

Also, as mentioned last week, I’m on my way to a conference in London. Travelled commando last night, stayed o/n, only when getting dressed stupid o’clock this morning realised I’d forgotten something…

You, my dear BBBs, are the only ones to know that amongst a lot of high profile folk today I’ll be the one with a sock in my crop top because I forgot my boob! Ta daa!!

Oh my goodness Bella, what are you like! Wished there was a laugh emoji on this chat cos that has had me giggling this morning :joy:

Hope the conference goes well and don’t worry your secret is safe with us :shushing_face::wink:

Oh no Alison, that’s not pleasant :grimacing:

When I had night sweats during the menopause I used to put doggy cooling mats under my sheet and they were really good. Obviously I didn’t pinch my dog’s ones, I went out and bought one just for my own use!!

Been on Letrozole since Friday and up until last night was absolutely fine sleeping. Not sure if the tablets can have an effect that quickly or if my mind was just busy :woman_shrugging:t2:

That’s absolutely not what you want. Have u only been on them a week ?

You are hilarious. Hope it was a clean sock !!

I’ve had no side effects yet !!

Is it gym sock day or a hiking boot sock day?:laughing::laughing:
Definitely not a day to be told “pull your socks up “ lol!! Ha ha ha

So BBB’s … I did actually sleep in today until after 9am… I went back to sleep pretty quickly after changing the sheets and putting the fan on.

@bellalasagne1 you might have a point about the muggy night. I don’t think it helped.

@lottie73 that’s a good tip Charlotte, thanks. The dogs use them a lot. I’ll order a spare and give it a go :crossed_fingers: Glad you are doing ok on the Letrozole. I’ve got to say, apart from sleep and last nights wet sheets, I feel ok. I’m getting my energy back, which is good…

Hopfully this is just a blip and it will settle down…

@smak, how are you doing with yours Sheelagh… sleep improving yet?

I think I’m going to carry on with the antihistamines. I think they are actually helping me to get back to sleep, when I do wake up. That’s an improvement. Usually, when I’m awake- I’m awake :woman_shrugging:
Since taking one antihistamine along with my AI (at bedtime), I’m still waking up, but I feel it easier to drift back off. I might experiment and take two one night??

What do you ladies think?? :thinking:

Might do a bit more in the garden today…

Xx

Yes, I started a week Monday.
I’m hoping it’s just a blip. Are you going to try the antihistamine?
I’m still going to carry on because they are having a mild sedative effect. It seems easier to get back to sleep….

I’ll keep you all posted though… :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:
