That’s great news!! I’m sure you are very relieved. Good luck x

Well done :clap:t2: I’m absolutely dreading my 15 sessions… I actually don’t want to go! I hope you’ve not had any side effects, bet you are glad it’s all over x

You are nearly at the end !! It sucks that you have to have 15 sessions . Not sure how or why some have five or fifteen. I’m having 10 ? Five on the whole breast and 5 on the targeted area. Suppose they have their reasons. We are all nearly there !!!
Charlotte what does it feel like to be finished ? I have my set up appt later today. Need to put my big girl pants on and the bra off .
Love and hugs to all BBB’s x

Hey hot BBBs,

Can’t remember if I mentioned my hot bob status or not but I also used a cold wet flannel and moisturiser, it took the worst heat out.

As for why it gets hot I think it builds with the radio dose being applied and we become a bit like the old Ready Brek advert (if you remember those?).

Mine was hot for a few weeks but calmed slowly. Still gets a bit warm occasionally - I’m 2 months post last zap now.

In other news, work is full on bonkers but I’m back travelling and the tiredness has mostly gone. I still have to go to bed early occasionally but the frustrating tiredness ‘hitting the wall’ seems to have gone :crossed_fingers:t2:

In other other news I (finally) received the promised letter from my Onc confirming my recurrence %s. They are much lower than she told me at the F2F appt so I have contacted her secretary to ask her to explain. If they are as low as the letter says I’ll consider coming off Letrozole. I’ve been on it since June so it’s been 4.5 months now.

A definite SE is hair loss which isn’t catastrophic but is annoying. Possible SEs that I can’t yet fully attribute to it, as there may be other causes, are insomnia, mild anxiety/depression, and the old girl down below shutting up shop :flushed:

As I said, there could be other causes due to what I’ve been through this year so I’ll get the Onc’s reply first before I talk to my BCN.

Glad to hear you’re all progressing well through your rads and well done @lottie73 for being next across the line xx

Hope you all have a great week,

Bxx

Hi Bella,
That sounds like a much needed conversation with your onc. I’m actually in a similar position and having the same thoughts, so it will be interesting to hear how you get on.

For me there is a 2% difference between meds/no meds. And given how I feel today, I’d take the risk, quite honestly…

Is anyone else just feeling like it’s all just shit today?? … I didn’t expect to feel so low after ringing the bell on Thursday. It’s not just that I’m tired, stiff, sore and dry as an ancient river bed, it’s just a dark cloud that won’t bloody shift today…
Oh, ffs, ignore me. I’m sick of hearing my own whining voice!!
Tomorrow is another day- I’m just feeling sorry for myself… it’ll pass.
How’s everyone else doing? For Christ sake someone must be cheerier than me!! lol!
Sniff
Hugs all round :hugs:

Congratulations lovie. That’s fabulous news.:clap:

Hey you, it’s absolutely fine to feel shitty. I’ve certainly felt the same on and off, e.g. last Sunday just back from holiday and facing going back to work on Monday….I was so down, more than I’ve ever been. Monday I was as right as rain. Very confusing., which is why I’m wondering if it’s Letrizole, or was it back from holiday blues? I’ll never know.

All I do know is this fckg cancer malarkey is an emotional rollercoaster. Messes with our heads. I am (or was) a normal, sane professional that could process information logically and manage a high profile project and large team. I now have days and moments when I want to run away and cry. Not often but it does happen.

We have each been through, and continue to go through, so much. I don’t have many answers my lovelies apart from the rather trite look after yourselves. I would say try to focus on the positives, get fresh air and excercise but can also hear you muttering “Oh FGS fck off” :joy::joy::joy:

I hope you know where I’m coming from.

Just do whatever makes you feel better and rant away on here if it helps. Thank goodness we have this forum, this lifeline, and each other.

Bxx

Hi Bella, thanks lovie. Yes, this forum is a godsend! Really…

Yep, it is just how I feel today. And, like you, this is just not how I am “normally”. I’m Mrs bossy proactive :muscle: not this whimpering “poor me” thing…

Urgh! Coffee, crumpet with marmite and I’m going out to pull some weeds. I think I need a bit of fresh air.

My boob seems to be fairing better than my head today

Desperately trying to ignore the family sized bar of bournville choc in the cupboard … if I open it, I’ll eat the lot!
:grimacing:

Hide the chocolate :joy: and enjoy your weeding!

I’m off for a walk shortly followed by my usual rant round Sainsburys, that’ll def make me feel better :joy:

“Enjoy” Sainsbury’s… if your head can deal with sat shoppers, I’d say that you are winning! Good luck.

Enjoy your walk …. I think some yoga breathing, for both of us, might be a good idea.
If I tried Sainsbury’s shoppers today, they’d need to hide all the blunt objects and cutlery :face_with_raised_eyebrow::rotating_light::rotating_light::rotating_light::ambulance: Someone’s likely to get it (death by a thousand bean tins”?? :smiling_imp::smiling_imp:)

…. Right, weeds!! :muscle::muscle:

Hi all you BBBs! I don’t know if I qualify as a BBB, having only had a lumpectomy, node removal and 5 days of radiotherapy compared with the nasties that some of you have had to go through, but I love to read all your hilarious posts and it keeps my mood from plummeting :joy:! SE from Letrozole are a real bummer but if it helps to keep the ‘monster’ at bay, I suppose it’s worth putting up with the odd low mood, hot flush and fatigue! All you ladies are a real tonic so keep up the banter! xx

Hi @pmeg, welcome!

Number 1 rule here, ‘only’ has no validity! We’re all in this together. Love and banter is gettting us through so feel free to join in.

Sainsbury’s news: no tins chucked. Swore under my breath at old guy who dared to place his trolley between me and the cheese counter but he did apologise so I smiled gracefully as he moved on. He was lucky.

Nectar points locked so hb couldn’t ‘accidentally’ spend them all on a bottle of brandy. He knows he’d have to sew them :tennis: back on first after last time :joy:

Welcome to the nut house @pmeg14! Hay, you too have been through this shit show hon! Don’t think you don’t belong… if we’ve made you chuckle, when you’re feeling low, you DO belong. We are all here to help each other and remind each other that we are still aloud to be nuts and having cancer treatment :woman_shrugging:
You’re still alive! Congratulations. Pull up a chair, get your girls unfettered and relax!:rofl:

We are all on the badboob merry go round  and sometimes it’s just not pretty.

You are in the right place to just tell it like it is :kissing_closed_eyes:
Let rip!
Hugs :hugs:

FYI: has anyone heard how Charlotte is getting on? She finished her zaps the day before me. Hopfully shes curled up with crazy dogs fast asleep  :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

I feel a bit better this evening. My ‘black dog’ has bolted to lick his bits and give me a bit of relief :face_exhaling:

Boob itchy, skin bad, but I took it out on the weeds and made some ginger biscuits to keep me away from the chocolate calling me from the cupboard :notes:

Feet up with a cuppa. Huge pile of weeds on the bonfire pile and I love you all for being here!

@bellalasagne1 I don’t think that old guy knows how close he came to a violent death!!:rofl: well done for keeping your hands on the trolley “at all times” :face_with_spiral_eyes:

IHi everyone I learn more from you lovely BBB’s than from any professional. Thank you all . It looks like you all managed the holding your breath mission. For me is was mission impossible. ‘ Dont worry” she said “ we can plan it differently “. Don’t worry !!! You’ve just told me that depriving myself of oxygen will protect my heart and lungs . Is it me or would you have been concerned too ? Love being able to rant on here !!

Thank you for your kind words @bellalasagne1 and @misswoof-88. I’m trying to guess what BBB might stand for - brave bosom buddies? batty boob brigade? Am I close? xx

Bonkers boob babes
I like the “Batty Boob Brigade”:rofl: that made me snort coffee down my nose, well done!:rofl:

Happy Sunday! :kissing_heart:
