Feedback has said how helpful it was to talk on the Forums beforehand and this thread is a chance for you to say hello and “meet” others attending the event. I will check in regularly and if you have any questions do let me know and I will do my best to answer them.

Hi im Ruth and I’m looking forward to attending this event next week. I’m 42 and only got my secondaries diagnosis in March. I’ve started letrozole, palbociclib and zoladex. I have a husband and a 7 yr old son. I’ll be driving up from sussex on Thursday. Im using crutches at the moment due to a skiing injury!

I’m Stephanie from burntwood (Midlands) age 35, I have a 2 and half year old and a fiance that I’m planning to marry in September❤. I first got diagnosed in March 2016 then in Feb 2017 found out it had spread to my lungs 2017. Looking forward to meeting everyone but probably more nervous than anything ? xx

Hi Everyone,
My name is Lisa-Marie Griffith I’m 36 and was first diagnosed at 33 with primary breast cancer, then last may I fell down the stairs and xrays picked up my stage 4 bone cancer. On Palbociclib, letrozole, denosumab and Zoladex. I’m so looking forward to meeting all of you as I haven’t done this type of thing before, which I’m sure I’m not alone on that. ? I’m arriving Thursday if anyone else is?

Hi all, I’m Jenny aged 39. Was diagnosed all at once in February 2017 when my daughter was 8 weeks old. Also have a 4yo son. Never really spoken to anyone about stuff, so will be a new experience for me. Looking forward to meeting some like minded people. I’m also arriving on the Thursday. Xx

Hi Everyone,

My name is Jo and I’m 44 years old.
I’m feeling excited but also nervous about meeting everyone.

I have secondaries in my bones and liver. Diagnosed October 2017 and feeling very anxious the thought of being on chemo forever.

Would love to meet you all and make new friends who are going through similar emotions.

A big HELLO to all you lovely ladies… I’m Gabriella, 37 with two crazy minions one 8 yr old girl and 4yr old boy.

 

I was diogniosed back in October, so still very fresh. I’m on palbociclib, letrozole and calcium tablets.

I lost my dad in January through this horrible disease, still all over the place…but getting there.

 

Will be arriving Thursday night, can’t wait to meet as many of you amazing, strong and courageous woman…after all, we’re all in the same boat, so let’s make the most of it.

I’m Catherine, the Clinical Nurse Specialist for Secondary Breast Cancer here at BCC.  I’ll be in Bristol too for both Friday and Saturday along with my colleague Grete who is the Clinical Nurse Specialist for Younger Women and we both look forward to meeting you all there. It’s quite natural to be feeling nervous, but you’ll find lots of support from us all, so do come and have a chat.

Hi ladies, I’m Lynette from sunny Bognor Regis on the south coast. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011 and found out on 20th December 2017 that it was in my spine. I have 3 children, 11 year old son and twin girls that are 8. Really looking for to meeting you all. I’m coming up on Thursday night too.

Hi, I’m Vicky 39 years old from Weymouth, Dorset. I was diagnosed with primary in 2010 and secondaries in 2015. I have no children but am very close to my two nieces and my nephew. Looking forward to the event and am also arriving on Thursday, not sure what time yet though! I’m taking the week off Chemo so I can hopefully function a bit better ?.
